The WBENC Ambassador program is a CORE initiative structured to enhance the value of membership by increasing member satisfaction and involvement.

Ambassadors build connections and grow awareness about WBENC and Supplier Diversity. They are strong champions of WBENC-Certified Women’s Business Enterprises (WBEs), and strive to create opportunity connections between WBEs and Corporate Members.

WBENC relies on its Ambassadors to continuously represent the organization throughout their tenure and to educate others about the value of advocacy by sharing success stories and best practices. The Ambassadors are an invaluable resource for Corporate and Government Members, Women’s Business Enterprises, and Regional Partner Organizations.

I feel that it is an honor to be in a position to work in one of my passion areas. It’s a personal passion of mine to ensure there is inclusion of women and minorities in business opportunities. The Ambassador role allows me to fulfill that personal passion. When you’re in this role, you have to have a passion for it. It’s almost a requirement for the job.

Why Participate

WBENC Ambassadors consist of board members and members of their business teams. Our ambassadors are experts and thought leaders in their fields. They are respected peers with extensive networks. Most importantly, they are champions of WBENC, dedicated to communicating our mission and promoting the value of certification and membership.

Ambassadors are:

  • Educators – Ambassadors educate others about the benefits of having a robust supplier diversity program, the value of certification and the advantages of doing business with WBENC-Certified WBEs.
  • Facilitators – Ambassadors increase outreach and opportunities and work to improve coordination between WBENC constituents.
  • Motivators – Ambassadors motivate and drive WBEs to be innovative and nimble in delivering goods and services that enhance and serve Corporate Member organizations.
  • Achievers – Ambassadors maximize connections and help businesses achieve supplier diversity program goals through communication of best practices and successes.
  • Champions – Ambassadors model a deep commitment to supplier diversity and advocate growth and innovation in corporate supplier diversity programs.
