The 2024 WBENC National Conference commenced on Tuesday, March 19th, with a dynamic Kickoff Session focused on ESG and Artificial Intelligence (AI) and featuring top leaders in these business critical areas from Accenture, Bristol Myers Squibb, EY, ALOM and Ampcus. Pamela Prince Eason, CEO and President of WBENC, alongside Nedra Dickson, Chair of the Board of Directors of WBENC and Global Supplier Inclusion & Sustainability Lead for Accenture, set the tone as they delivered a heartfelt, energetic and action-packed welcome during the General Session and recognized the 2024 WBE Stars and the Host Committee. They ignited a day charged with engagement, inspiration, and boundless opportunities.
The Regional Partner Organization (RPO) Meetups were alive with enthusiasm, as attendees—from seasoned members to newcomers—formed new connections and rekindled existing ones, marking a fantastic beginning to an event destined to be memorable. Adding to the day’s proceedings, evening receptions, the Sneaker Jam and Sip & Swag, held within the Gaylord Rockies Resort and Convention Center fostered a diverse ecosystem of Women’s Business Enterprises (WBEs) and Corporations eager to connect.
Wednesday, March 20th, offered an array of enlightening education sessions that spanned a multitude of industries. Each session was designed to provide attendees with cutting-edge insights and practical knowledge, equipping them to thrive in a rapidly evolving business landscape. Alongside these sessions, the day also saw the first part of the Collegiate Accelerator Pitch Competition, where the brightest minds in entrepreneurship showcased their innovative solutions to pressing industry challenges. in addition to an expansive expo, providing attendees with a broad spectrum of opportunities to learn and connect.
Outside the expo doors, the Women Owned Demos and Collegiate Accelerator Showcases presented a glimpse into innovative brands. The day concluded with a memorable evening at the Wings Over Rockies Air and Space Museum, underscoring the commitment to making connections throughout the event!
Conference wrapped up with attendees making the most of their final moments to network and connect with WBEs on and off the expo floor. Attendees eagerly anticipated part two of the Collegiate Accelerator Pitch Competition. Activity swirled around the Women Owned Demo Stations, with attendees keen on discovering new vendors before preparing for the beloved WBENC Certified WBE Meet & Greet, offering a final chance for impactful networking and exchanges.
That night, attendees reconvened at the Colorado Ski Lodge-themed party, immersing themselves in a variety of engaging activities. They reveled in spirited ‘snowball fights,’ mingled within enchanting igloo domes, and enjoyed shopping at the Women Owned Pop Up Shop, all offering a unique slice of winter wonderland magic.
In a delightful tribute to excellence, WBENC hosted a special brunch event to honor the 2024 Top Corporations and the shining WBE Stars.
The 2024 WBENC National Conference was an extraordinary testament to the strength, innovation, and resilience of women-owned businesses.
