Not yet registered? Here are five reasons you won’t want to miss our March event.
In less than two weeks, WBENC will kick-off a full month of programming for our new event series, WBENC 2021: Focus on the Future. In celebration of Women’s History Month and in collaboration with Presenting Sponsors — Accenture, Bristol Myers Squibb, EY, The ActOne Group, Ampcus Inc., and ICON Consultants — we are bringing together experts from across our network to help women-owned businesses not only survive these challenging times, but also grow and thrive.
At WBENC, we always do our best to bring our network the most innovative and impactful ways to learn and connect, especially in these virtual times – and next month is no different! With a wide variety of programming, an intuitive virtual platform, experts from across the country, industry deep dives, inspirational speakers, there is truly something for everyone.
Still on the fence? Here are five reasons to join us for this exciting virtual event:
1. Make Connections
We know one of the most challenging aspects of the pandemic and social distancing in the business world is missing out on in-person networking events, meeting new people, and connecting with old friends and colleagues. At WBENC 2021 Focus on the Future, you will have access to a virtual event platform where you can create an e-business card and connect and chat with fellow attendees.
We will also have opportunities to make connections with fellow attendees during our sessions, including a special activity kicking off at the International Women’s Day General Session on March 8, and regular conversation-focused sessions every Thursday.
For WBEs, the sessions on Wednesdays also provide an opportunity deepen your engagement with the WBENC network, including fellow women business owners and Corporate Members, through the Women of Color program, Staffing Industry Series, WBENCPitch Academy, and a special session on doing business in the utilities industry.
2. Make it Work with Your Busy Schedule
Made up of CEOs, founders, procurement and supplier diversity professionals, and other business leaders, the WBENC network is a busy group of people. We want to make sure you have the flexibility to make this event work with your schedule, not the other way around. That’s why we are offering a wide variety of one- to three-hour sessions, spread out across the full month, allowing you to pick and choose which sessions are most relevant to you and what works best with your calendar.
If you can’t make a session, don’t worry – all registered attendees will have access to session recordings through April 15.

3. Help Us Break Down Barriers for Women Entrepreneurs
Is there a better way of honoring Women’s History Month than putting in the work to break down barriers for the next generation of women? We are bringing together changemakers and thought leaders from leading corporations like ExxonMobil, Merck, and TOYOTA to discuss how they are empowering women globally and within their supply chains – and what we all can do to help.
You also don’t want to miss our special celebration on International Women’s Day, featuring experts from UPS, Marriott International, and IBM, plus a general session where we will challenge each other to do more to support women entrepreneurs.
4. Take a Moment to Be Inspired
It has been a difficult year, and many challenges remain ahead. Take a moment for yourself to recharge, listen, learn, and get inspired by the resiliency and strength of our network, including the many innovative women leaders and dedicated corporate champions.
From our special celebratory events on March 1, March 8, and March 31, to live recordings of our Women Who Own It podcast featuring Ann Ramakumaran and Janice Bryant Howroyd, this event provides numerous opportunities to take a moment to celebrate the accomplishments of women entrepreneurs and generate a sense of optimism and hope for a successful for 2021.
5. Hone Your Skillset
We have gathered experts from across the country in various industries and disciplines to lead sessions laser-focused on providing actionable advice and takeaways to help your business and career. In the Women of Color sessions, learn how to use the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS®) to gain traction in your business, and get expert pointers on the dos and don’ts of capabilities statements.
During the WBENC LIFT Financial Center of Excellence Conversation Series, financial experts will be lead you through topics to enhance the financial health and resiliency of your business, from cash flow management to access to capital. In the Staffing Industry Series, get a full picture understanding of trends and challenges within the industry and what to look for in 2021, and master your elevator pitch in the WBENCPitch Academy.
There are countless opportunities to improve your knowledge and skillset on critical areas of business – all in one dynamic event series.
