As of January 2023, Sherry leads the strategy and team responsible for building an inclusive supply chain at Walmart that is reflective of the customer base. She is tasked with helping to grow Walmart’s $13billion (FY22) spend with certified diverse owned businesses while also helping to build capabilities, internal engagement, and external stakeholder collaborations to help level the playing field for diverse owned businesses to connect, grow, and thrive with Walmart. Prior to taking on this role Sherry was Director, Sustainability, Walmart.Org since October 2016. There she developed strategy and shaped and managed international grants and investments focused on social and environmental sustainability in food supply chains as well as on strengthening smallholder farmer market access. Sherry began her Walmart career in 2012 at Massmart in South Africa, where she led and helped accelerate the reach of Massmart’s flagship supplier development function.
